Our country is winter wet and very prone to summer droughts. As our sheep have constitution they consistently lamb over 160%. We keep to a true Perendale type that shows good muscling and growth rates, these are very important selection criteria. All ram hoggets are wintered and then only the top 50% are retained after fleece weighing. No sale rams are pampered and therefore shift well.
